From the analysis of oral health in the enterprise, we suggest a series of current issues and of great importance for all. The lectures are taught by one of our clinical coordinators, always a professional with extensive experience in the subjects discussed:

Hygiene/Nutrition

The oral cavity is the gateway of our foods and nutrients that keep us alive and able to perform all our activities. This feature makes daily our teeth and mucous membranes are exposed to a multitude of situations, some aggressive, depending on what is ingested and how hygiene is conducted. In this talk, we broadcast information for a better understanding of the relationship between health and nutrition, in addition to the mechanisms of the diseases in the oral environment.

Placement of implants

The advancement of therapeutic techniques bring great security to the reconstruction process of placement of implants in the oral rehabilitation. But, in many patients, still remain doubts about what is a osseointegrado implant and how it's done. In this talk, are presented in a didactic way information clarifying these questions and eliminate any fear.

Placement of implants for guided surgery

With the advancement of therapeutic techniques, keyhole surgery, based on CAD/CAM technology, proved to be a great evolution in the process of placement of implants in the oral rehabilitation. The combination of surgical techniques, combined with the knowledge of the surgeon, the patient provide solutions that go against your need and desire. In this talk, we present the keyhole surgery and their benefit, using a clear and easy to understand language.

Whitening

Due to the wide exposure of the population to advertisements that exalt the ideal of white teeth, we have seen many misconceptions about what is the whitening process, its limits, its indications and contraindications. In this talk, using an appropriate language to the public lay, seek to give a wide view on the process of whitening of vital and non-vital teeth (with root canal), its forms of application, its advantages and disadvantages, in addition to the indications and contraindications.

Prosthesis

Prostheses are devices or appliances made to partially or completely rebuild an organ or a tissue. In the oral environment, are essential to restore function, aesthetics and comfort to the masticatory system and, consequently, the patient who suffered fractures, dental losses or even extensive mutilation resulting from accidents or serious illness treatments. In this talk, we present the various types of prosthetics available today and its main intended use in rehabilitations.

Metal free

The advancement of the technology of ceramic materials also brought results for dentistry. There are now on the market various systems using ceramic materials such as Zirconia and Alumina, which do not require the use of metals as a basis for the manufacture of prostheses, providing several aesthetic benefits. This presentation seeks to inform what are these new ceramic materials and their main applications in dentistry.

DTM

Temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMD) is a term that encompasses a wide variety of disorders and diseases that affect the temporomandibular joints (ATMs), the responsible for the movements of the jaw. Any malfunction in the ATMs can cause important consequences in all functions related to the buccal system (chew, phonation, swallowing etc.). In this talk, we present the main signs and symptoms that indicate the occurrence of DTM and the mechanisms of control and treatment, in addition to the importance of preventive actions to minimize the risk of future complications.

Endodontics

Popularly known as root canal, root canal therapy is one in which the dental surgeon accesses the internal part of the tooth, where the pulp tissue, nerve. When a tooth is carious lesion very extensive and deep, this fabric is very inflamed, causing intense pain, and can even necrose due to bacterial infection. In extreme cases, aggravation of the injury can cause fast progressing bacteremia may present (presence of bacteria in the bloodstream), which can cause infections in distant organs, such as joints, kidneys and heart valves, putting his life at risk. This presentation is very didactic and aims to clarify doubts and prejudices surrounding this therapeutic process.

Periodontics

Periodontics (peri: around, Dental: tooth) is the science that studies and treats diseases of the deployment and support system of the teeth. The pathological changes of the periodontium are called periodontal disease, such as plaque, gingivitis, periodontitis. The infection caused by bacteria, affects the tissues surrounding the teeth, forming an undesirable space between the gum and the tooth called a periodontal bag, this favors the buildup of food particles and bacteria. Periodontal disease is the leading cause of tooth loss in adults. In this presentation we show the importance of hygiene and oral health care to avoid diseases.

Oral cancer

In recent decades, the brazilian population has undergone transformations that promoted a huge increase in life expectancy. With this, there has been a change in the profile of the diseases, generating higher incidence of degenerative diseases such as cancer, as more and more individuals arrive at the third age. Among the various types of cancer, the mouth is the fifth that more reaches the men and the seventh among women. In this talk, we seek to inform what are the main types of cancer that can occur in the oral cavity and the best ways of preventing and identifying the signs and symptoms.
