What is Aesthetic Dentistry?
Aesthetic Dentistry aims to restore and reconstruct teeth that have suffered trauma or caries injuries and to improve, in the short term, the harmony of the patient's smile through the use of laminated veneers and the closing of the spaces between the teeth (diastemas).
Laminated veneers are reconstructions of the front face of the teeth and can be made directly in the patient's mouth (composite resin) or in porcelain in the laboratory.
Diastema closure is the aesthetic restoration that improves the harmony of the smile. It is usually made with composite resin and is a relatively simple procedure.
Benefits:
- Treat teeth without losing aesthetics;
- Recover tooth shape;
- Improve the appearance.
Risks for lack of treatment
There are no health risks if the aesthetic disharmony of the smile is not corrected. However, there are people who are more sensitive to aesthetic impairment, who may have problems with socialization and self-esteem.
